If you're a lover of the small venues and awesome bands, you need to get tickets for some of these shows! The Dawes shows are completely sold out, so I hope you have your tickets already! Otherwise you better start searching Craigslist to find some tickets! Just be careful who you buy from!

Varsity Theater New Year's Eve Dawes and Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps

What are your 2011 New Year's Eve plans!? What!? You don't have plans yet!? Well, I think you should join me and a lot of other cool people at the Varsity Theater! Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps are playing at the Minneapolis Varsity Theater for a New Year's Eve show, as well as Dawes! You know it is going to be an awesome show!

What time do Varsity Theater doors open, you wonder? Well, the doors open at 8pm for the 9pm show.

Cowboy Mouth tickets

Legendary band, Cowboy Mouth has just announced a show at the Varsity Theater on Wednesday, February 23rd.
The New Orleans band is known for their extensive live shows and grueling tour schedule.

One fun fact that I didn't realize about Cowboy Mouth is that current member Matt Jones was in the now defunct Jimmy's Chicken Shack.

Varsity Theater tickets are on sale now for the Cowboy Mouth show. Also worth noting is that the Best Coast / Wavves show is almost sold out. Varsity Theater tweeted that their Varsity Theater tickets were almost gone for that show - which is about the most promising prospect the winter concert schedule has to offer. Best Coast and Wavves are in town on February 11th.

The Varsity's concert schedule is a little bleak in the upcoming months. Here is a list of a few of the highlights:
